2016 Election- STILL No Need to Accept ‘Lesser'(??) of 2 Evils! GOD has better!!

God has much better for us than the supposed ‘Lesser (?) of two Evils!’

The Bible says “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a DISGRACE to any people!” (Proverbs 14:34) Does God want America to be disgraced?? We have had MUCH of that already; and the righteous have been fighting it for 8 years!  WHY then would God want us to AGREE with it NOW?? Crazy!!   The Bible says God does NOT go against Himself!  Jesus said “If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.” (Mark  3:25)            Righteousness vs Disgrace!                                                            Choose ye – which will it be?                              Which shall we have?

Where the Booze Can Kill, and Putin Is Deemed a ‘Good Czar’ – The New York Times

In my opinion, this article gives a little snapshot of how a country, Russia, with the city of Moscow & the Kremlin, that got delivered out of Communism in 1991, can actually backslide! Even having been the home of the USSR with all of its utter cruel evil, Russia has, to a large degree, relapsed back under the aggressive cruel dominion of Communism – a cruel system of DARKNESS of the EVIL Master of Deceit, the devil, himself!!  Clever controlling LIES is a BIG part of Communism! They very deceitfully lead to very cruel deeds!! And into a cruel governmental system called Communism!  Continue reading

‘Stand Up Republic’ – America NEEDS to do that now!

Below is a video that helped me, Soteria Allen,  know Evan McMullin , at least for starters, before I had any idea who he was.  It’s a TED-Talk that Evan gave in May 2016 that I know now very well represents this man I have come to know & love. I know you too will enjoy it, and also be very moved and inspired by this true story told by a very compassion-filled man.  ENJOY!!

Below is a Comment of Robert Haley and Soteria’s Reply –  regarding a recent STAND UP REPUBLIC story on FB about the need to stop the executive overreach of Donald Trump, which Evan McMullin, co-founder of Stand Up Republic, sees as a continuation of the Obama/Hillary overreach, actually their refusing to obey the  Constitutional limits of power set up to keep our nation free from any person, or small group of people, being about to get the rest of the American people under their dictatorial control.  These Constitutional limitations of a gov’t official’s power also help America stay free from being ruled by powers outside our country too!

Robert Haley

This is what I mean about this group! Now they are lauding a “legal” opinion That’s reads more like a policy paper from the most LIBERAL Circuit in America!! These two are not libertarian or conservative!!! They are Neocons willing to lay down with judicial activists to promote themselves!!!

Soteria Allen

I’ve been involved with conservative Evan McMullin since I first learned of him Aug 2016. Search further and I believe you will find, as I did, he is a very moral man and what he and formerly his running mate, Mindy Finn promote with ‘STAND UP REPUBLIC’ is basically ‘DON’T LOSE SIGHT OF..‘ our founding documents, (study the Founding Fathers & their beliefs & learn intent of what they wrote) much emphasizing the NEED for checks (on power) and balance; for example, as opposed to exec orders, and other exec office overreach; as of Obama, and now continued by Trump. I like to say “Trump is just Obama/Hillary in a Donald Trump suit!!” re the ‘HOW to fix’ America! Two wrongs don’t make a right! Our Founding Fathers said the gov’t they gave us, ‘a Republic’, COULD NOT succeed UNLESS the country was governed by ‘virtuous people chosen from among the people’ (using my memory, but close). WHY would the people CHOOSE, by fair elections, (not lied to by candidates; that is fraud! ) candidate Donald Trump, whom Ted Cruz referred to, and I believe rightly, as a pathological (sick) LIAR? Our Founding Fathers said our Constitution was based on the governed being virtuous people. Is Donald Trump? Is Donald Trump VIRTUOUS? I believe we have MANY virtuous people in America, as I see many honest moral people in the TEA Party Group I’m a member of here in San Angelo, TX, as well in my church, and my neighborhood, for example! But I do not believe Donald Trump is one, ‘nor honestly portrayed himself’ while a presidential candidate for there to be a fair election! People NEED to know what is REALLY TRUE about the people who end up on he ballot. ‘Stand Up Republic’ has much to do with ‘HOW things are done’ by people in government, ALWAYS; but especially at this time when the person in the President’s seat (however he got in), in the opinion of many, is OPERATING more as a dictator (overreach) as opposed to us FOCUSING on the MANY VALUES and CHANGES we in America probably mostly agree upon.  Such as ‘secure the border, properly vet immigrants, help our economy thru tax cuts, regulation cuts, defund the UN, maybe end IRS, etc — things in line with the beliefs and wisdom of our Founding Fathers, those who wrote the US Constitution, who believed people NEED a gov’t based on Judeo/Christian Biblical values. Trump (& others) swore on the Bible to uphold the Constitution, “so help me God!” Are any doing that falsely? If so, they need to be HONEST and tell everyone those are things they cannot agree with! Be HONEST! Tell us up front! That is what this organization started by Evan McMullin and Mindy Finn , in my opinion after being with them since Aug 2016, is about. Check further; if you are someone who really is honest and believes the US Constitution, ‘NOT a man’s strong opinions/facts’, NEEDS TO BE THE STANDARD; and that all men be treated equally by the use of it, then I believe you, Robert Haley, will LOVE Evan McMullin , Mindy Finn and all us others that have joined together with them to take a STAND for what is RIGHT!    Thank you for your Comment; hope my Reply helps.

Good news: In two years, we’ll have a new president.

Good news: In two years, we’ll have a new president. Bad news: If we make it that long.

My “good” prediction is based on the Law of the Pendulum. Enough Americans, including most independent voters, will be so ready to shed Donald Trump and his little shop of horrors that the 2018 midterm elections are all but certain to be a landslide — no, make that a mudslide — sweep of the House and Senate. If Republicans took both houses in a groundswell of the people’s rejection of Obamacare, Democrats will take them back in a tsunami of protest.

Once ensconced, it would take a Democratic majority approximately 30 seconds to begin impeachment proceedings selecting from an accumulating pile of lies, overreach and just plain sloppiness. That is, assuming Trump hasn’t already been shown the exit.

Or that he hasn’t declared martial law (all those anarchists, you know) and effectively silenced dissent. We’re already well on our way to the latter via Trump’s incessant attacks on the media — “among the most dishonest human beings on Earth” — and press secretary Sean Spicer’s rabid-chihuahua, daily press briefings. (Note to Sean: Whatever he’s promised you, it’s not worth becoming Melissa McCarthy’s punching bag. But really, don’t stop.)

With luck, and Cabinet-level courage that is not much in evidence, there’s a chance we won’t have to wait two long years, during which, let’s face it, anything could happen. In anticipation of circumstances warranting a speedier presidential replacement, wiser minds added Section 4 to the 25th Amendment, which removes the president if a majority of the Cabinet and the vice president think it necessary, i.e., if the president is injured or falls too ill to serve. Or, by extension, by being so incompetent — or not-quite-right — that he or she poses a threat to the nation and must be removed immediately and replaced by the vice president.

Aren’t we there, yet?

Thus far, Trump and his henchmen have conducted a full frontal assault on civil liberties, open government and religious freedom, as well as instigating or condoning a cascade of ethics violations ranging from the serious (business conflicts of interest) to the absurd (attacking a department store for dropping his daughter’s fashion line). And, no, it’s not just a father defending his daughter. It’s the president of the United States bullying a particular business and, more generally, making a public case against free enterprise.

To an objective observer, it would seem impossible to defend the perilous absurdities emanating from the White House and from at least one executive agency, the Agriculture Department, which recently scrubbed animal abuse reports from its website, leaving puppies, kittens, horses and others to fend for themselves.

In a hopeful note, a few Republicans are speaking out, but the list is short.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz recently got a taste of what’s ahead for Republican incumbents. Facing an unruly crowd at a town hall meeting in Utah, the House Oversight Committee chairman was booed nearly every time he mentioned Trump. Even if many in the crowd were members of opposition groups, the evening provided a glimpse of the next two years. From 2010’s tea party to 2018’s resistance, the pendulum barely had time to pause before beginning its leftward trek.

While we wait for it to someday find the nation’s center, where so many wait impatiently, it seems clear that the president, who swore an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution, has never read it. Nor, apparently, has he ever even watched a Hollywood rendering of the presidency. A single episode of “The West Wing” would have taught Trump more about his new job than he seems to know — or care.

Far more compelling than keeping his promise to act presidential is keeping campaign promises against reason, signing poorly conceived executive orders, bashing the judicial and legislative branches, and tweeting his spleen to a wondering and worrying world.

Trump’s childish and petulant manner, meanwhile, further reinforces long-held concerns that this man can’t be trusted to lead a dog-and-pony act, much less the nation. Most worrisome is how long Trump can tolerate the protests, criticisms, humiliations, rebuttals and defeats — and what price he’ll try to exact from those who refused to look away.

Supreme Court Nominee Judge Gorsuch – Solid Religious Freedom Record

judge-neil-gorsuch-1-31-17

Dallas, Texas – Jan 31, 2017 – Today, President Donald Trump announced his nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court. Kelly Shackelford, President and CEO of First Liberty Institute, praises Judge Gorsuch’s consistent record on religious liberty.

“As a candidate, President Trump promised to appoint pro-religious freedom judges to the Supreme Court,” Shackelford says. “Today, he took a positive step toward achieving that goal.”

“As a religious freedom law firm, we have one criterion for evaluating judicial candidates. We ask, ‘Does this candidate have a proven record of upholding the Constitution, especially as it relates to religious freedom?’ I am pleased to say that Judge Gorsuch has just such a record, authoring or joining multiple landmark opinions upholding religious freedom.” Continue reading
