Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness
I sure do appreciate former CIA operative and former Republican House Security Adviser Evan McMullin who felt he needed to run as the only truly conservative candidate for the 2016 Presidential race, believing the two main party candidates left running for US President after the party conventions, Trump & Hillary, were neither conservative nor even moral people. After being asked to run for President by various, very concerned people who had been searching for someone other than Donald Trump,after it seemed he had won the Republican primary, Evan McMullin responded to their request by giving the idea much thought and prayer, and finally decided that was something that he needed to do, and went ahead and entered the race as an Independent running for the position of the next President of the United States of America.
I was also one who felt neither Hillary nor Trump was fit to be President of the United States of America. I personally felt that it would very, very likely be very harmful for America and also the rest of the world if either of them did become President, and I was eager to work to help Evan McMullin get elected as soon as I learned about him sometime early in August 2016.
And what a JOY it was to listen to Evan speak, answer questions when interviewed by news reporters, work online passing news around about him running, give money to help cover campaign expenses, and of course, pray for Evan and his very encouraging team!!
It was so refreshing to hear Evan McMullin, and others on his team, speak about the importance of doing what is right!
He spoke of operating from Judeo/Christian values as our Founding Fathers did and as are shown in our Declaration of Independence. Evan McMullin also talked about the importance of operating from a government which is limited by our US Constitution, which he believes was inspired by God, including the ‘Freedom of Religion’ being for all men, and our government being designed to protect our ‘God-given’ human rights that were not given to us by man, but God, who created ‘each one’ in His own image!
I miss not being online almost daily telling people that there is SOMEONE ELSE they can vote for besides Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump — someone ‘not evil’!!
Not have to decide between ‘the lesser of two evils’!! 
I couldn’t find that in the Bible! Actually, I realized the Bible shows throughout even the OPPOSITE!! Many examples of ONE person and God taking a STAND FOR what is RIGHT!! One example of many is in 1 Samuel 17 when the lad David was stirred by God to go up against the GIANT Goliath AND the viscious Philistine Army right behind him. (worth reading!) King Saul and the Israel Army were scared! They knew they COULD NOT WIN!! Impossible situation! David knew it was impossible too! He even said so!
BUT he also knew it ‘was not right’ that the Philistines would come upon them and ‘taunt the armies of the Living God’ (& threatening to enslave all of Israel; offered them an impossible for Israel to win ‘deal’). But the lad David BELIEVED he heard God, and TRUSTED GOD to bring the victory, just by God using him and his slingshot (somehow) to bring down the giant and also, the fierce Philistine Army right behind the giant!! And, of course, God did!! (Read it! )
And that is how God wants us to live today!! Over and over the Bible speaks of TRUSTING GOD, no matter how great or how many in number our enemies are!! There are many stories (true, of course) that show God coming through for those who looked to Him, AGAINST ALL ODDS – and, of course, God always brought them victory! Both for the sake of His Beloved people, Israel (or any who believed in Him, as shown in Jesus’ time) and also, because He loved all people, and wanted His bringing victory to Israel against their unjust evil enemies, as well as showing to others their righteous way of life, to be “a LIGHT unto the gentiles” to help their enemies know who the True God really was/is!
Same kind of situation today!! I know Evan McMullin believes the Bible is the Word of God, and prays, seeking God’s will. And I believe God is continuing to use him! And I’m glad to be involved with him and others in the tentatively called ‘New Conservative Movement’ which believes and promotes the values I just spoke of, which also were the values our Founding Fathers and the principles our nation was built upon!
I believe God is guiding all in the ‘New Conservative Movement’ step by step, helping our country get back to what it NEEDS; so that it can again be righteous, and prosper in every area – and be a nation again ‘in Love with God, and all mankind’!! And who will also be a people who are HAPPY!!
“When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, but when the ungodly (wicked) rule, the people mourn!” (Proverbs 29:2)
I am honored, and very happy to still be involved with the principled, wise and joyful man, Evan McMullin, and all those who have now become a part of the Americans for the ‘New Conservative Movement’ who seek to live uprightly and know it is ‘Never too late to do the right thing’.
Within our group of many thousands of dear like-minded people is, of course, also Mindy Finn, whom we got to know over the months of the campaign when she became Evan McMullin’s running mate, and also, very helpful to all of us.

I’m looking forward to how God is going to continue to use Evan McMullin and the principled, wise and joyful people of the ‘New Conservative Movement’ who have, especially this last year become very aware ‘It’s never too late to do the right thing!’
