Break the Gosnell Media Blackout – TweetFest

Our country needs to get back on the right foundation; what it was built on—the Bible. Our laws are based on knowing right from wrong from the Bible. How else will a person know? Who is to say murder is wrong? When resources are short why not follow Darwin’s beliefs of what he thought life was all about: “Survival of the Fittest.” And that we humans are just animals, further advanced than more primitive animals that he believed we evolved from, such as apes. If Darwin didn’t believe the Bible was true he would and COULD NOT have Judeo (Old Testament) or Christian (Old & New Testament) values. Where would he get them from.? As Christians, we believe, as our Founding Fathers did, the Bible is God’s Word. (MUCH documnetation. see http://www.wallbuilders.org with David Barton) Our school children are not allowed to learn what is true by what God says in His Word, in public school, as used to be when I was in elementary school (until made ILLEGAL. That is how things like KILLING BABIES in the womb becames LEGAL!!) The Bible was the main text, known to be our main and SURE source of TRUTHH) in schools in the past in our country. How can we blame people for not knowing right from wrong when the presence of God and His Word are removed from society?? The Bible says “My people are destroyed for LACK OF KNOWLEDGE (of God’s Word). That will happen to a society EVERY TIME! (eg., Germany was very Christian. Martin Luther’s home. How could that country (& others) fall for the deception of KILLING TO HAVE THE PERFECT RACE?? Naziisim resulted from believing in the LIE (of Satan) of evolution rather than what the Bible says, that “Man is made in the LIKENESS of God!” And that to murder is against God’s laws. But how will people know right from wrong without knowing WHAT GOD SAYS. The Bible says it takes having a personal relationship with God (born-again Christian) and the ARMOR of the WORD OF GOD to stand against the WILES (deceptions, trickery—including evolution lie Darwin & many have fallen for; and also, abortion) (Ephesians 6:10-18; Romans 12:1-2) I did not know for much of my life the GREAT SIGNIFICANCE OF THE BIBLE TO A SOCIETY. But I am VERY GLAD I do now, &  know God personally and His Word (book of TRUTH), and get to work with Him, as we all do who know Him, telling of His GREAT LOVE ❤ for ALL, as well as His wonderful ways for us, that provide for us morals and a LIFE of love and joy! And it’s a FUN-filled life, at any age!!! With Jesus’ Compassion 4 America! (& the world!) Luv, Sotera (& Jesus!!)

Happy Easter –Resurrection of America! E.W. Jackson of VA

oin the campaign to Inspire and Unite Virginia!
Jackson for Lt. Governor

Friends,

On Easter, let us remember that in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ we have been granted by our Creator with the glorious gift of freedom, which makes redemption possible.

When our Founding Fathers established this great nation, they based it on the sovereignty of the people, whose inalienable rights to Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness are endowed by our Creator. Those rights are at risk as some with well intentioned motives and others seeking raw power try to make government the dispenser of rights and freedom and the guarantor of equal results for all. Whether well meaning or not, such thinking is the prelude to tyranny.

To preserve our freedom, we must reclaim the foundations that made this nation great. That is why I am running for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. This is where the foundations were laid and this is where they must be restored.

With faith in the God who gave us this nation and hope in the resurrection power that has allowed us to rise from every crisis even stronger than before, let us be steadfast. Our vision of individual freedom with virtue, of individual achievement with concern for our fellow citizens, will prevail to make the 21st century a time of resurrection of the American dream of “one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.”

Do we have a jail diversion program in San Angelo? A mental health attorney?

Rethink Mental Illness

Hi Jackie ,                                     March 16, 2013

How are you?
Hope I get to say that to you in person, able to make the next NAMI meeting with my friend Sally who is still at Respite and is getting involved in the non-denominational Bible believing church I go to, Trinity Fellowship Church. I know God and His Word is the most important help for anyone, as I know you know too!
With God bringing Sally into my life, I’ve come to know and enjoy her, but also I have great pity for her because of the continual fear she lives with. She continually lives fearful of making a wrong move, knowing her bipolar could cause her to act ‘out of control’ and she end up doing something that would cause her to get picked up, taken to jail, and then be sentenced to prison.
Having already spent 2 years in jail here, and also having been sentenced to 10 years in prison, but got the option of probation instead, which she has been on for 5 years. But she is fearful she will somehow end up acting ‘out of control’ due to her bi-polar, which could fall into the category of ‘violating her probation’, and she then possibly have to do the other 5 years in prison, and even have more added to it.
Can you imagine living with such a CONTINUAL fear of possibly doing something wrong, due to her unpredictable bi-polar, and then ending up in prison; and then have mental illness to deal with on top of that?

I looked up her criminal record online and was shocked to see 43 charges! Her charges started in 1995 and Sally told me she started getting help for mental illness in 1996. Even with her professional psychiatrist’ mental illness diagnosis(es), she still has almost all of the 43 guilty charges against her and on her record AFTER THAT DIAGNOSIS! This is not right! And I am not blaming the dear people in our criminal justice system in San Angelo.
She keeps running into problems because of two felonies in her record. She hit and scratched a police officer. Sally told me, as her normal self, she would never do such a thing. She is a very sweet, thoughtful girl!
By the end of this month she has to be out of the Respite Shelter, but can’t find a place to live because of a felony in her background. She was thinking of moving into a motel. Because of in and out of jail, the mental hospitals, and just unable to properly take care of the business end of things, she lost her HUD housing that she had.

This very sweet girl who is such a delight to be around has to go to court in a few weeks because of charges of resisting arrest. It seems to me, unless we do something, she could end up in prison, having five more years due to serve from the 10 year prison sentence she was already given!

When I first met Sally I had mentioned to her that I had a friend (you) who has a son who is an attorney who helps people with mental illness. I was very impressed with him when I heard him speak on a panel at the NAMI conference our NAMI chapter paid for me to go to in Austin one year. I’m still very grateful to have had that life changing experience back then. Thank you!!

I learned on-line through the NAMI site about a jail diversion program in Shelby County, Tennessee, called the Jericho Project. It was started by a precious Christian man named Stephen Bush, a Public Defender in Shelby, TN. It is great! They show how their jail diversion program works, and how people with long records of jail, prison, and mental illness history get their lives turned around when they start getting help through the Jericho Project. They have a section on How To Bring a Jail Diversion Project into Your City, much of it focusing on how to help the Public Defenders see its worth and get in agreement with it. It is at: http://www.nami.org/Template.cfm?Section=CIT&Template=%2FContentManagement%2FContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=146549

I first learned about jail diversion for people with mental problems at our NAMI meetings here in San Angelo.
Do we have something like that here now?

I just now got off the phone with Sally. She is going to try to be able to come home with me after church tomorrow. I invited her to watch some Jericho Project videos. They also have a Shelby County Public Defender’s Office blog, Justcity.org that I haven’t looked into yet. That would be another one we could watch, as well as good Bible teachings on-line about how God can heal anything! Hallelujah!

Sally has actually been pleading with me to get in touch with your son, possibly being an attorney who can help her. I told her I don’t even know if he is in town now.
Do you know if your son, or know of someone else, who might be able to help Sally with her upcoming court case where she is charged with Resisting Arrest? There might be also added to that a violation of probation as part of that.
Thank you!

With Jesus’ Compassion 4 these hurting people,
Soteria

Jesus Loves YOU!!

Sarah Palin to Students: Has America Forgotten God?

Sarah Palin to Students: Has America Forgotten God?

Sarah Palin (C), former governor of Alaska, greets supporters as she exits the Fox News headquarters in New York, June 1, 2011.
March 11, 2013|3:34 pm

Former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin encouraged Christian students to influence American culture during Southeastern University’s 2013 National Leadership Forum on Friday.

“Today, look around, and don’t you wonder sometimes if, as a nation, we have forgotten God altogether? This is a crucial question,” said Palin during the seventh annual The Forum event, according to The Ledger.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate told students they should “infiltrate” the nation and influence its culture by becoming involved in the worlds of sports, journalism and film. She also spokes about the problems she sees with Washington.

“The federal government is bloated, corrupt and out-of-control,” she said of federal spending. She also called the nation’s capital a “hotbed of cronyism,” according to The Ledger.

Palin, who was asked by event organizers to discuss the topic of hope and resilience, said it is important to uphold the values on which the United States was founded.

“We can’t allow the principles upon which this nation was found to be ignored or compromised,” she said, according to SEU’s website. She also commended the university for providing a Christ-centered eduction to the next generation of leaders. Christian principles and morals, she said, will help the U.S. to remain the world’s greatest nation.

Net proceeds from The Forum go to the Southeastern University Scholarship fund. In the 2012-13 school year, the university will award more than $9.7 million in financial aid to students, according to the event’s website.

Palin’s faith was recently the target of a billboard campaign in Texas byAmerican Atheists, a national organization for nonbelievers. One of the billboards featured Palin’s photograph and misquoted her, saying, “We should create law based on the God of the Bible.”

The former Alaskan governor actually said, in reference to America’s founding fathers, “We would create law based on the God of the Bible” (emphasis not Palin’s) in an interview with Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly.

David Silverman, president of American Atheists, later apologized on behalf of his organization for the miquote.  Dave Muscato, the organization’s public relations director, told the network that American Atheists would move the quotation marks on the sign to exclude the word “should,” though Silverman maintains that “the meaning was correct” all along.

To Rand Paul: Fabulous Filibuster! But please consider emphasizing upon ‘what authority’ our Founding documents & Laws are based.

English: United States Senator Rand Paul speak...

Filibustered for our Constitution!

We are praying for you, Rand! Thank you for stressing how we need to get our country back to the wisdom of our Founding Fathers and the wise founding documents that came from them when this nation was created. By law, our country is still based on those Founding Documents: The Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Many people greatly admire and are inspired by you, Ted Cruz, Dr Ben Carson and others for doing what is right; taking a stand for what you believe is right. Thank YOU!!

But I suggest you go a step further. Would you consider emphasizing what our Founding Fathers based those beliefs and resulting documents on? I believe it would be a tremendous help if you, and all of us who know, made clear to others in our country, that it was and is the Word of God, ie. the Holy Bible!

Please help Christians and non-Christians know from WHAT AUTHORITY we base our Government and our Laws; that it’s the Holy BIBLE. We who know, as our Founding Fathers clearly did, the Bible IS God speaking! YES! And the Authority from which we know right from wrong is God Himself!

Otherwise,”who is to say the Founding Fathers are anyone to listen to?” “Who is to say what form of government is right or wrong—maybe our Constitution really should be shredded”. “Who is to say what is right or what is wrong, or if there is such a thing as ‘right’ and ‘wrong’?” On what basis can we really defend the beliefs upon which our Constitution and Bill of Rights are based?

America’s Constitution and Bill of Rights  are based on the Bible. It can be easily documented–plenty of evidence! This being made known WILL GREATLY  HELP LIBERAL (but ignorant of what the Bible says) Christians, as well as the ungodly and even those with false religions such as deceitful, very evil Islam. Check with Robert Spencer and many others who know from studying the religion itself, as well as those formerly deceived by it. Very much like evil Communism, Nazism, Satanism!

Thank you again, Rand! God is using you greatly!! You, Ted Cruz, Dr Ben Carson and others are very needed examples for us. Many people greatly admire and are inspired by you!

God  will honor your stand for righteousness, even if you are at any time the only one.  Anyone standing for what is right, as we all need to who know, may spend some time unjustly locked up—but God is at work and WILL exonerate. He will use even the false accusations, slander, smearing, unjust attacks in all the forms they come; causing them to backfire, God shining the LIGHT on the WRONG, contrasting it with what is RIGHT! (Romans 8:28)

TRUSTING GOD by knowing what He says in His Word gives people the ABILITY TO STAND and to keep standing for what is right, instead of ending up caving in. They know they are standing for what really is true and really is right. And they also know God, “who is LOVE” (1 John 4:7-8) personally, as their best friend whom they ENJOY daily. Such people know God is always right there with them, and will definitely bring success.  Their confidence in not themselves, but in God; and can be fearless knowing “Nothing is too difficult for the Lord! (Luke 1:37)

Unless people know from the Bible, from God Himself regarding ‘what is true’ and ‘what is right’, they won’t be able to stand against severe persistent attacks on what they have believed, if it is merely based on what men think; even if it happens to be true.  Therefore we shouldn’t expect it of them.

God wants to help all, including our blinded enemies; who, because of their ignorance and being deceived,  have created a very dangerous situation, even for themselves.

But no matter how dangerous, as we look to God’s Word, KNOWING IT IS TRUE,  we WILL trust Him, including trusting Him to do the things He deliberately promised, such as the promises in the 23rd Psalm.  They include God promising to GUIDE us and also, as God often says, to not fear, as in

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me!”

God LOVES us!

With Jesus’ Compassion 4 America! (& the world!),

And with much gratefulness,

Soteria Allen
